Have you ever thought in the age of AI, if one day someone just bring the trained AI agent who can just read your design and prepare all the other supported drawings, and in future may be founder of the firm would need only 1-2 architects to validate the drawings or my they won't need it, drafters will be there as well, or I can say Architects are also drafters in the name of BIM specialist, or architect who do everything. Where do you think, architecture is moving under the umbrella of AI? I am dam sure, architecture companies will also move to automation to reduced their cost
I want to remind you, generating concept drawings from midjourney, chatgpt, Gemini or any existing tools are just there for showing off, has anyone ask the generator once, how are you thinking about building this kind of concept? What if one day AI will be able do it
Where our work will lie majorly, have you ever thought about it?
Architects are currently struggling in the market to get good salary, not everyone comes from a high-end/strong background, not everybody wants to get into the business? how will they survive?
Is our council of architecture actually thinking about the future?
If architecture profession is not like other mass production profession like IT, I totally understand that. But the amount of student getting into it scares.
Not a high salary? No remote working? Years of struggle, years of learning, 80% are Lala firm in India, can't expect corporate and structured management because anyone haven't teach them how to manage, HAHAHAHA but true? Why people are getting into the hole of disappointments? Who know till the next decade, AI will take the portion of work in the process, then what will rise of architects do? Should all start thinking about becoming a BIM specialist?
